To reach a high stage of maturity and a verification of the results elaborated in the different EASIS work packages, prototypical implementations will be realized and tested on two different validators of different automotive domains.
WT5.1 validator aims to develop, implement and validate some of the most relevant proposals developed in EASIS project, mainly defined in WP1 (software) and WP2 (hardware). In particular, WT5.1 validator will be used to validate the suitability of developed architecture to implement integrated safety functions working across domains in a reliable, safe and secure way.
The EASIS validator with Telematics Gateway will include the following:
-
Telematics gateway between external network and internal network with protocol conversion and security facilities
-
Fault tolerant ECUs with dual duplex architecture and fault tolerant communication network
-
Fault tolerant software services, like agreement protocol, fault tolerant signal processing, software watchdog and fault management
The second validator will be a hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) testbench at DAF, which will be used to show the improved safety and dependability reached by implementing the EASIS results. ECU prototype with prototype software will be combined with a 3-D truck model showing the braking and stability performance by real time simulations in a range of circumstances.
The second objective of this work package is the publication and dissemination of the EASIS results. To reach the strategic goal of the project, i.e. preparation of future standards for vehicle e-safety architecture, it is of great importance to disseminate the results not only within, but also outside the project. This work task will provide the necessary dissemination paths like web-site or open workshops. To guaranty that the results reached within the project will be publicized in an appropriate way a distribution plan will be devised.
