WP0: Integrated Safety Requirements

The experience of previous significant European projects concerning automotive electrical/electronic-architectures (e.g. EAST/EEA from ITEA, SSAE from MEDEA+) has shown the complexity of the problem with launching such projects in an effective way.
These difficulties are due to the richness of the projects:

  • A large number of companies from various cultures, using various techniques.
  • The complexity of the interdisciplinary topics that must be similarly approached.

To overcome these difficulties a dedicated workpackage has been defined (first six months of the project) with the aim of refining qualitatively and in detail the goals of the full EASIS proposal. The results of this workpackage will be:

  • Provision of the detailed integrated safety requirements for the project.
  • Definition of a general architecture framework limiting the complexity of solutions, to enable efficient parallel work in all workpackages.
  • Refinement of common objectives and requirements for the EASIS project and for each successive workpackage, linked with the Integrated Safety Program.
  • Development of a general "EASIS process" capable of reaching the overall goal of EASIS.
